George Halflings started rockin' in 1989 with his first punk band Bound By Blue with Matt Summers of Shark Attack and Matt Smith of Rain On The Parade and two other friends. That band went no where. George and Matt Smith joined up with Brian Richmond now of Apparatus Engine and formed what would become Mao & the Chinese Revolution. Matt Smith left and Mikey Hate from Sub/Hate took his place. Bobby Pietrusko from Dream Forever Drowning joined on drums. With this lineup Creep Records release their first 7" e.p. (The second record on that label.) When Mao broke up in 1993, George and Mikey Hate Joined up with Doug Jerolmack now of Ivylabs and started the Halflings.

After a couple 7"s Ryan Agnew took Mikey's place. After a few more records with that lineup Doug and Ryan were both replaced by Matt Drastic, now in the Teen Idols and The Queers, and Donnie Switchblade, now in the Rumblers. After three continental U.S. tours, one with The Parasites, one with Link 80 (God Bless you Nick) and the last with the Teen Idols, The Halflings broke up for good in 1996, though George tried to put the band back together one last time with roommate, Steve Ferrell who quit to join Kid Dynamite, Dave Sausage now in the Boils, and Vince from Buglite.

Most of the time since the Halflings demise George has focused his time on pursuing the American dream by building his silk screen company, Strip Tees, so he doesn't have to work for "the man" anymore. Though most of his time was spent printing, in 1997 George had a short stint in the legendary Philadelphia punk band, The Strychnine Babies and in 2001 he played drums in Fuck Bomb. He also started a band called The Revells with Matt Fester (The Festers/The Statiks) on bass, Superstar Steve Wolff (The 440's/Cisco Jeeters/Sugar Skulls) on lead guitar, and Tony Bello (Gas Money) on the drums. They recorded 8 songs before they broke up, but the tracks were never completed, and have never been released.

After hearing his brother's band's, The Bedrockers, demo tape, he decided to front the cash for their "Brian is an Arsonist" 7" e.p. which was the birth of the Strip Tees (Record Division) record label. In August 2001, when The Bedrockers relocated to Philly, George convinced Matt Fester to join up with him and his brother, and played together for two years before calling it quits in 2003. The One-Man Band was started as a side project during his time with The Bedrockers, and became a full time band after their demise.
